Story Line
The basic plot line is about a guy that is popular, but is very superficial so that he doesn’t get hurt. However, along comes a very unpopular girl that is one of those that people love to hate because she is so out of the norm. He befriends her because he has an idea to make her popular the way he is popular and spends the series doing it.
However, along the way comes a girl that seem to be jealous and tries to make it very hard for “Nobuta”. This is the main antagonist and is a dark mystery for quite a while.
My Opinion
This is a darker show, but also a bit more down to earth reality show too. It deals with Jealousy and loss of everything when you become superficial and transparent. I say it is a bit dark because it is basically at the end of they day that someone is trying to destroy another persons life if for no other reason than she is bored. While that is happening on of the main characters loses his standing and has to reconnect with himself.
I liked this show to a point because at the end it shows hey you can reconnect with yourself and come out a stronger better person for it. There are a few things I would have done different though if I were one of the characters. Like getting “Nobuta” to stand up straight and not slouch, bugged the heck out of me. Most of the time though they had a good flow and really kept you guessing for what is going on or going to happen.
