Plot
The series focuses on Ayukawa Noriko, the teacher of a class of first-graders. One day, a boy named Kento transfers into her class from another school, where he was treated as a problem child. In reality, the inquisitive Kento actually displays the potential of being a prodigy, and it’s up to Noriko to figure out how to handle him. The story draws inspiration from the childhood of famous inventor Thomas Edison, who was also considered a problem child by most adults around him.
Review
I thought this was a great J-Drama mostly because Kento reminded me of me a bit. Though I was not as smart, I did like to mess with my teachers with word games. It was interesting combination of how his questions seem to not only stir his learning but those around him. It is like that in my life where I ask questions of other people that I know don’t know answers just to get them to think about it. Sometimes it causes such a fuss that it affects more than just those around me. In the case of the show Kento’s curiosity was seriously disturbing the parents because they kids weren’t acting proper. What made the show even better was watching the main teacher go through a metamorphasis and by the end of the show seemed to know who is she was and where she wanted to go.
I recommend it for sure because it will leave you laughing for a long time and next time you hear “doshite” you won’t think of things the same. Even now when I am in class and hear that word I immediatly start thinking of this show because evertime he started you got led on a ride.
