If you have used the learn app you have probably been annoyed with how it looks and the typing in Japanese only. Well, those two problems are solved for the most part. Plus, a new verb type is added.
Autocomplete – Well sort-of, one of the biggest things about the application you have had to use the Japanese keyboard in your respective operating system to type in Japanese. NO MORE do you have to do that. As you type romaji now it will auto-convert it to kana. I want to give a BIG thanks to Joe Ellis of ReadtheKanji.com for open sourcing his auto conversion code so i am able to implement it in my site. This is a BIG step to helping this application grow and help its users learn.
New Verb Type – This was the first test/step to working with the complete rewrite of all the front end of the website. I have added Present Affirmative Short Form to the list and have made sure it works. Please give it a shot. I will make a post sometime in the next couple of weeks on short forms’.
Look and Feel – This isn’t that big of a deal, but for the last couple of weeks it has looked like crap. I took the time, which I should have taken sooner, and have cleaned up some of the look and made it more coherent and added a new banner that is lower profile than it was and more inline with the new theme that is coming (again).
Please give me your thoughts on the application and some of the new updates. What are some more improvements and possible features you’d like to see, anything is okay to suggest.
