Game news Ace Combat 8: the game confirmed by Bandai Namco after the celestial sales of Ace Combat 7
Bandai Namco can congratulate itself: Ace Combat 7 is a commercial success, and it therefore gives rise to an Ace Combat 8. Or whatever its name is. The firm confirmed it yesterday, during a livestream.
Released at the very beginning of 2019, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown was a hell of a good version of the iconic saga of fighter planes. In addition to the 17/20 that we gave it and the very favorable critical reception from all the media, the game was also a commercial success according to Bandai Namco, who broached the subject during a livestream via the producer Kazutoki Kono: the title now has three million sales, a record for the series.
Faced with this appreciable flight, the Japanese publisher has therefore confirmed the start of a brand new episode, which we will simply name Ace Combat 8 while waiting for more news. The firm even reveals a first detail: the development studio, Project Aces, is on the spot and will for the occasion be supported by ILCA, a company known for supporting the design of many Japanese titles. She was also the one who worked on the environments and cutscenes for Ace Combat 7.
For Ace Combat 8, it is therefore said that ILCA will have a more important place in the gestation of the project: the objective is indeed that the software takes on a new dimension for the franchise, which cannot be achieved with just Project Aces at the Controllers. Here is which seems very ambitious and which has what to cause the excitement: we hope to have news soon.
