Game news Hearthstone Mercenaries: Date and Gameplay Revealed!
Quickly announced at BlizzConline last February, the Mercenaries mode of Heartstone will finally be presented in due form by Blizzard. A presentation that will include gameplay and during which the release date will be revealed.
In a post published on its official website, Hearthstone invites everyone to learn more about Mercenaries, the next mode of the card game. Ben Lee, director of Hearthstone, designer Joe Killion and interface designer Hasiba Arshad will speak on Twitch and Youtube August 31 at 6:00 p.m. (French time). Gameplay footage will be scheduled for the event, but the release date of Mercenaries will also be revealed.
But what are Mercenaries again? It’s a game mode that offers a different way to play from the classic card games that Hearthstone offers. During its very first presentation at BlizzCon last February, Blizzard indicated that Mercenaries were “inspired by strategic role-playing games and offers new challenges for each game“.
Today, we know that Mercenaries will have a Player versus Player (PvP) and Player versus Environment (PvE) mode. Among the heroes (from the world of Warcraft) placed at their disposal, players must build a team of mercenaries and overcome the challenges imposed on them. Fighters can level up, gain new abilities along the way while collecting treasures.
See you on August 31 at 6:00 p.m. on Blizzard’s Youtube channel and Twitch channel to learn more about Mercenaries. On this occasion it will even be possible to recover two packages of the extension United in Stormwind via Twitch drops.
