Videogame fans from around the world came together on Twitch for GlitchCon, an annual convention hosted by the streaming site. The convention, normally named TwitchCon, went fully digital this year and brought panels including Cyberpunk 2077, Boston Dynamics and their robot dogs, and even League of Legends competitions. But perhaps the most notable panel was that of GlitchCon’s cosplay contest.
The competition was hosted by Mica Burton, a well-known cosplayer an actor. She was joined by a team of incredible cosplay judges consisted of cosplay influencer StellaChuu, TockCustom (TNT Cosplay Marketing Coordinator), international cosplayer Kamui Cosplay, and cosplayer (and former TwithCon winner) KikiKannon.
The competition had cosplayers from all around the world all competing in four different categories: Needlework, Armor, FX, and Larger Than Life.
The winner of the Needlwork category was Ivorivet in her Caleb Widogast cosplay from Critical Role. The cosplay was originally completed for Katsucon earlier in the year but was upgraded for the competition with a new resin-cast pendant, coat modifications, and detail embellishments.

Cosplayer Mathoz Costumes from France won the Larger Than Life category with his incredible Chocobo cosplay from Final Fantasy. The cosplay honestly looked like it jumped right from the screen into real life. The entire head and body move around like an actual Chocobo. Fans of FFXIV would certainly gasp if they saw this Chocobo running around the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival in the future.

The winner of the FX category was none other than Plexi Cosplay in her Astalos Blade Master set from Monster Hunter. The cosplay was crafted with foam and featured LEDs to make the weapon and armor light up in an incredible green color. The cosply was also made exclusively for the competition, which is a fast turn-around time to make a cosplay of this caliber.

The armor winner and 2020 GlitchCon Grand Prize winner went to Arborealkey for her Warhammer 40k Cosplay. The cosplay incorporated LEDs, foamwork, resin casting, wig-styling, and sewing to create a truly masterpiece of a cosplay. She also made the entire cosplay for GlitchCon’s competition, working diligently for months to craft this cosplay. Her hard work certainly paid off in the end, and the results stunned the judges and viewers enough to crown her the Grand Prize winner.
It was a #GlitchCon Cosplay Contest we won’t soon forget.
