The Bloober Team is sweeping away speculation and confirming two major projects underway.

The parents of Layers of Fear, Observer, Blair Witch, and The Medium have been in the center of conspiracy theories for some months, some of which are more or less well-founded.
The recent announcement of a partnership with Konami has undoubtedly raised some expectations, and the company has decided to share some of its most recent developments.

On the website of the European Union’s Creative Europe program, three code names have been discovered by a search engine. Three names of code belonging to the Bloober Team were discovered and immediately investigated by internet users looking for evidence to prove that, indeed, a Silent Hill game had been delivered to them by Bloober Team.

There was H2O, which is actually Layers of Fear 2 in disguise. In addition to Dum Spiro (“while I’m breathing,” in latin), a horror game set during World War II in a Jewish ghetto in Pologne, there is Black, a medieval horror game with financial backing, and Black II, a medieval horror game with financial backing.

Tomasz Gawlikowski, the director general of Bloober Team, has spoken out on the hypotheses that have been put up about the current internet, as reported by IGN:

Due to the fact that online spéculations based on out-of-date or incomplete information can sometimes result in bizarre theories among players, we appreciate you contacting us directly for clarification.
Our first two projects, Dum Spiro and Black, have both been successfully completed. In the wake of several Dum Spiro iterations, we have come to the conclusion that we are unable to deliver the book in a format that is both appropriate for the subject matter and commercially feasible at the same time at this time. Briefly stated, Dum Spiro is no longer actively in development at the present time.
In addition, the original concept for Black has been scrapped, and while we are still working on a game with the codename Black, it is a very different project from the one that has been making the rounds on the internet lately.

This is something that deserves to be said in the open. Gawlikowski, on the other hand, is nowhere to be seen. He also confirms that the studio is actively engaged in the development of two projects, which are now in the pre-production and production stages, respectively.

Both will be more significant than The Medium, but neither is based on any of the themes or axes that have been discussed on social media over the past several days or weeks.

The kind of statements that don’t get us very far, but can lead us to believe that Black is the project now in development and that the other project coming from Konami – whether it’s Silent Hill or not, it’s difficult to say – is confined to its balbutiements. Wait and see, as the saying goes.
