Time for another look at what Google are doing with their cloud gaming service Stadia with more new releases and new Stadia Pro games coming to the optional subscription.
Firstly, a big one. Fifa 22 comes to Stadia on October 1, which includes the brand new next-gen HyperMotion, a feature that’s supposed to make players more realistic with their animations. The interesting thing here is that the Windows version still won’t have it but Stadia and consoles will.
If you have the Stadia Pro subscription from October 1 you will be able to claim these:
- Cake Bash
- Control Ultimate Edition
- DreamWorks Spirit Lucky’s Big Adventure
- Hello Engineer – Early Access (available First on Stadia)
- Unto The End
Human Fall Flat will be leaving Stadia Pro so your last chance to claim it is on September 30. If you missed it you will have to buy it in the Stadia store.
Stadia has also introduced “Phone Link”, allowing you to link up your phone as a touch controller or use it to connect up a third-party controller to a TV.
Other upcoming Stadia games include:
- The Addams Family: Mansion Mayhem – October 1
- The Falconeer: Warrior Edition – October 5
- Far Cry 6 – October 7
- Blaze and the Monster Machines – October 16
- Riders Republic – October 28
- Just Dance 2022 – November 4
- Chorus – December 3
Remember how Stadia got ARK: Survival Evolved recently and the release was something of an absolute mess? People found quickly after release that the developer included console commands, and you were able to turn up a ton of graphics settings and it ran pretty well. By default Studio Wildcard has now upped the view distance and texture quality, with the options menu now having post processing and view distance settings available.
A feature that seemed to roll out without any announcement from the Stadia team is a new Public Parties feature. Now you can make a party anyone can join while you play. It gives you the ability to select a game, a description and amount of players needed.
