Updated on the 9th of July, 2021 – GTA V will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S systems this year in an improved version, allowing you to enjoy it yet again. With the announcement, we were able to update our guide and add some new references to our database.
Despite the ongoing health crisis, 2020 proved to be a banner year for video game releases, with the release of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S consoles, as well as the release of several critically acclaimed titles, including The Last of Us 2 and the highly anticipated Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Despite the fact that there has been no announcement of an upcoming game on the platform this year, the list of upcoming games is one of the most exciting in recent memory. Unfortunately, Hogwarts Legacy : L’Héritage de Poudlard, whose release has been postponed until the following year, is not included in this list. Here is the release schedule for the most anticipated video game releases in the year 2021.
Legend of Zelda : Skyward Sword HD
Even though The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2’s sequel is already in development, it will not be released in its entirety until later this year. In the meanwhile, Nintendo is bringing back the Skyward Sword episode, which was released on the Nintendo Wii in 2011, for the Switch. Skyward Sword HD will run at 60 frames per second and will support the use of Amiibo. It will also allow players to control Link’s epée and bouclier using the Joy-Con controllers, a first for the series.
Neo: The World Ends With You
The World Ends With You was a Nintendo DS classic, and in July, 14 years after its first release, the game was given the go light for a sequel. The addition of Neo: The World Ends With You gives the game a new level – it is now, in essence, an action role-playing game in three dimensions. The game will be developed by Tetsuya Nomura, the director of Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and will be released on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch platforms.
No More Heroes 3
‘No More Heroes’ is a series of hack-and-slash video games that first appeared on the Nintendo Wii in 2008. Since then, she has grown in popularity and has received a resoundingly positive response from the critics. No More Heroes 3 will be released on the Nintendo Switch on August 27th, following a delay caused by the COVID-19.
WarioWare: Get It Together!
The WarioWare video games are just fantastic. These mini-game compilations are always entertaining and, more often than not, addictive. The most recent installment will mark the introduction of a multi-player option for the first time.
Deathloop
The scenario is as follows: you are an assassin who has been imprisoned in a time capsule that gets reset at the end of each day. You must kill eight “visionnaires” that are dispersed around an island in order to get out of the island. The problem is that you have to do it within the time limit of a temporary boucle while also avoiding capture by a tueur who is determined to get you and your family. The release of Deathloop, which was originally scheduled for May 21st for PlayStation 5 and PC, has been postponed until September 14th, 2018. It is likely that an Xbox version will be released in the coming year.
Grand Theft Auto V
Grand Theft Auto V continues to be a top-selling title on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms. The release of a new PS5 and Xbox Series X/S version is scheduled for November 11th. In the meanwhile, Xbox players will be able to continue to play the game on their new system, thanks to the Game Pass and other features.
Metroid Dread
It has been four years since the announcement of Metroid Prime 4, and we haven’t heard anything about it since then. The fans were hoping for a sneak peek at the E3, but instead we got to see a Metroid that was completely different: Metroid Dread, which takes the series back to its roots in 2D.
Battlefield 2042
Battlefield 2042 is the first new Battlefield since the release of Battlefield V in 2018, and it is a fully multiplayer game in every sense of the word. There is no such thing as a solitary farm. The action will take place in a world that has been thrown into disarray by climate change.
Guardians of the Galaxy
Guardians of the Galaxy is a role-playing game that allows you to take on the role of Star-Lord. There is no multi-player feature, which is a shocking omission. However, according to the developers, this will result in a more focused and cohesive narrative experience.
Forza Horizon 5
Forza Horizon 5 was unveiled at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), with a teaser trailer revealing that the action would take place in Mexico.
Age of Empires IV
Age of Empires IV is now a mystery to us, despite the fact that it was first announced in 2017 and that we have seen a gameplay trailer in 2019 as well as a new release date announcement in March this year. The graphics have been improved, and we’ve been able to see four of the game’s well-known civilizations in action: the Anglo-Saxons, the Mongols, the Chinese, and the Sultanate of Delhi. The game is expected to be released on PC later in the year, with no specific release date in mind.
Pokémon Diamant Étincelant and Pokémon Perle Scintillante
Pokémon Rouge and Blue have been re-released on the Game Boy Advance (and, more recently, on the Nintendo Switch with Pokémon Let’s Go! ), Argent and Or on the DS, Rubis and Saphir on the 3DS, and Perle and Diamant, which was originally released on the DS in 2007. The following are the Pokémon: Rouge and Blue, Argent and Or, Rubis and Saphir, Perle and Diamant, and Perle and Diamant. If all goes according to plan, the two variants, Diamond Etincelant and Perle Scintillante, will be available by the end of the year 2021.
Prince of Persia: the sands of time
Following the release of Shadow of the Colossus, Resident Evil 2, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake, all of which were fantastic remakes, Prince of Persia: The Sables of Time is expected to arrive in 2021. The game, which was first released in 2003 on the PlayStation 2, has been given an extensive makeover. Its debut was originally scheduled for January 2021, but it was then pushed back to March before being once again postponed until later in the year. Ubisoft has not yet announced a new release date for the game.
The remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is expected to be released on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
Lego Star Wars : The Skywalker Saga
After a five-year hiatus, the Lego Star Wars franchise is back. The most recent installment, Le Réveil de la Force, was released in 2016. Due to the fact that it will include all nine films in the Star Wars series, this new title appears to be much more ambitious. The release date for Lego Star Wars: The Saga of Skywalker has not yet been confirmed, but it is expected to arrive in the first or second quarter of 2019 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Far Cry 6
Far Cry 6, which was originally scheduled to release in February, has been pushed back to a yet-to-be-determined date in 2021. It is expected to be the most ambitious and comprehensive edition of the series to date. The action will take place in a tropical region of Yara that is based on the island of Cuba. The game will be released on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Serie X|S, PC, Google Stadia, as well as Amazon’s Luna gaming platform.
Gran Turismo 7
Since the franchise’s inception in 1997, Gran Turismo has become one of the most popular games on the PlayStation platform. It was announced last June that Gran Turismo 7 will be coming to the PlayStation 5. There is little information available on him, if he is indeed scheduled to appear this year.
Halo Infinite
Due to poor player reception during a recent early access test, Halo Infinite has been postponed until the fall of 2021, instead of being released simultaneously with Xbox Series X and S.
The Lord of the Rings : Gollum
Following the success of the previous two titles, which took place in the Terre du Milieu, The Lord of the Rings will make his return in a genre that has been revitalized. In fact, it will not be an action-oriented role-playing game in the vein of the previous installments. The game places a greater emphasis on Gollum’s stealth and deception, since he must, among other things, evade capture by the fortress of Barad-dûr, which serves as the starting point of the adventure. The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Serie X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Horizon Forbidden West
Horizon Zero Dawn is one of the best games on the PlayStation 4, and the sequel is scheduled to release in 2021. Taking place in a post-apocalyptic world ruled by robots, Horizon Forbidden West follows Aloy on her hunt for the origins of a deadly virus. Aloy is a huntress who evolves as she goes on her quest. The PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 will be the first platforms to receive the game.
God of War: Ragnarok
God of War: Ragnarok, the series’ twelfth installment, will be released on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 later this year. For the time being, that is all we know about him and his subject.
