The original One Piece series is extremely popular, but with over 90 volumes of manga and almost 900 anime episodes available, where does a new fan begin? Is it truly worthwhile? Is it worthwhile to restart One Piece twenty years after the original anime first aired?
One Piece has always been distinct from other manga series. It’s always maintained a sense of mystery, offering viewers a little look into the tale before diving in to finish the remainder of the plot. This persona, as well as the perplexing, complicated narrative, keep new viewers coming back for more. While there was some uncertainty at the start of the manga series about who ate what and where the craziness began, the better storylines and developments eventually showed themselves.
This kept the One Piece fan in a narrow niche of the market, just knowing the bare bones of the tale and wondering how it will all go together. More links were formed as time passed and the anime version of the manga appeared on the scene. With the TV series came some of the characters we’d grown to know and love, as well as a clearer image of the narrative. However, there was one important piece of information that was lacking… Why, in the first place, did Monkey Doodler, one of the most fascinating and interesting Straw Hat Pirates, have a bounty on his head?
The answer to this question, it turns out, isn’t nearly that easy. For a long time, it was assumed that Monkey Doodler was a bounty hunter working for the series’ opposing gang. With each episode, more clues about the tale were revealed, giving viewers more to follow along with, and hypotheses about who this man was and how he got to be a part of the team in the first place began to spread. With the conclusion of the first season of the One Piece anime and the release of the second season, we now have a solution to the question that has been tormenting fans for so long. This article finally answers the question of why Monkey Doodler became a pirate!
One of the series’ major mysteries was why the enigmatic Mr. I didn’t join the team until the very end. In fact, it was revealed in the third chapter of the first season of the anime that he had been recruited as a bodyguard by a very wealthy and powerful guy, similar to how Donquixote hired Rook and Crocodile in the first two episodes of the manga. Kineru Deivoglio, commonly known as Kizashi, is the guy in question. Kineru Takebe, which translates to “Dawn Dragon,” was also revealed as his true name. The true reason for this is to make him appear more mysterious and powerful, as we just recently learned that his real name was Kineru and that he was a member of the Order of the Dragon.
The second significant mystery remaining until the end of the One Piece anime series was why Rook and the others failed to identify the Cipher Polarity, the secret key that unlocks the final code in the anime series. In previous chapters of the manga, we witnessed how Rook was weakened by a strange man’s blade. This guy, who revealed out to be Luffy, utilized the Thousand Tiger’s power to paralyze Rook before transporting him to his hidden lair, where he will give him the final step in becoming the Shichihan’s highest ranking member, the feared Shichihai. This is made much more fascinating by the fact that, in later episodes of the TV show, Rook had already evolved into the renowned pirate Captain Jack Sparrow.
Finally, it was revealed in the third and last chapter of the manga series that Chopper had gotten infected with a fatal gas as a result of the poison that Rook injected him with during their meeting. This gas is revealed to be Octenuron, which was developed by a guy known as Crocodile. However, Oda claimed that we would still find out who the true perpetrator is at the end of the One Piece series, and that the plot’s secret will be exposed at the Tokyo Chapter.
The manga’s finale has also left many fans and watchers curious about a future sequel. Bleach is one of the various titles being explored. Bleach tells the narrative of the Shinigamis, a tribe of strong vampires wiped out by a mysterious and powerful magical entity known as “The God Hand.” The Bleach manga series will be continued with new Bleach episodes until the series concludes. Several major characters from Bleach, such as Uchuha Madara and Master Kuchiki byakuya, are reappearing in different portions of the manga series to aid in the fight against the evil forces.
