EVANGELION FINALLY, a collection of vocal songs played in the hit Anime series, NEON GENESIS EVANGELION and EVANGELION 2.0 YOU CAN(note) ADVANCE, by Yoko Takahashi and Megumi Hayashibara. The collection consists of a famous opening song by Yoko Takahashi for the series “The Cruel Angel’s Thesis” as well as new covers of the original songs including “FLY ME TO TO THE MOON (version 2020),” a new recording of the classical Jazz standard featured in the show end credit and a new vocal arrangement by Takahashi for “Kokoro yo Genshi ni Modore 2020.” A new original trail and a theme song to the Shin Evangelion feature film performed by LOREN & MASH is also included in the collection “”THANATOS -IF I CANT BE YOURS-.” Meanwhile “Come sweet death, second impact” is the jazz arrangement of Megumi Hayashibara’s legendary masterpiece.

Review

Vinyl was awesome, but for some reason my family became… something like Orange Fanta when I played Komm Susser Tod?

FINALLY! Ordered January 4, 2021. I received my pink splatter release today, after it had been delayed 3 times until the 14th of May. Allegedly because of production problems? Some variations like the green and purple RightStuf Anime did not seem to be delayed.

It’s beautiful anyway. The sleeve, the labels and the vinyl itself are magnificent. The rose is more like a milky semi-translucent rose with red blood violet flares. It is really popular because of the contrast between cyan and black labels in the center. Very clean. Very clean. I’m dubbing it the version of “Watermelon.”

The sleeve is nice and minimalist with a fan-friendly design. And it’s never a bad idea that Rei put anything on it.

The pressing quality on all sides is fantastic. Almost no noise from the surface to talk about. He noticed a small bit on C and D side, but barely. Sound very smooth and warm. And the music collection gives you a chance to try all kinds of sounds. They all sound wonderful, from Kokoro’s bumping bass to Genshin ni Modore 2020 to the beautiful jazzy Fly Me to The Moon 2020. It’s got a good mix and a good press. That’s everything I’m asking for!

The list of tracks is great. It’s not a comprehensive collection, but the record is excellent for what it was designed to be. A lot of classics with new spins and a song from the new Eva films just released in Japan. It’s not the complete soundtrack series, but it’s an amazing collection of Eva history music.

The CD case has a cool design to it and has some amazing track from the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. If you love Evangelion then you’ll love this soundtrack.

This album was worth all of the delays in production that it went though. While it has been available from streaming audio sources for several months now, there is an incredible difference in the audio quality the vinyl has to offer – by which I mean the vinyl delivers vastly superior audio quality. I wonder consider this a must for any Evangelion fan that regularly listens to music from the series.

T came today and I love this much as avid fan of evangelion, but I realized that one of the vinyls came with a middle sticker damaged:( This fault of production is so shameful because otherwise it’s such a beautiful product! I would still advise tho fans as I’m sure this is just an abnormality
