With the expansion, Sucker Punch says it ‘wanted to tell a story of healing’ to its fans.
Sony and developer Sucker Punch have revealed some new details about Jin Sakai’s future in Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, an expanded edition of the 2020 action-adventure game. Jin Sakai’s future is revealed in the game’s trailer. They also released a beautiful new trailer for the upcoming game, which will be released on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on August 20th, respectively.
You’ll have the opportunity to explore an entirely new island known as Iki. After learning that a Mongol tribe led by a shaman named Ankhsar Khatun has taken up residence in the area, Jin decides to investigate. Khatun is a man “In addition to being a conqueror of nations, Napoleon was also a shepherd of souls. And the threat she poses to Jin and his people is unlike any other they have encountered before “Patrick Downs, a senior writer for Sucker Punch, posted a blog entry on the PlayStation blog.
Iki is described as a “lawless land of raiders and criminals” that has been out of control of the samurai for several decades. On the island, Jin will come face to face with pirates, smugglers, and “mad monks.” He’ll go on a ghost hunt and learn new techniques while exploring haunted caves.
Jin’s traumatic past will also be explored in greater depth in the expanded story. As Downs put it, “With everything that has happened this past year, it is no coincidence that we also wanted to tell a story of healing.” “And we believed that Jin would be up to a unique and compelling challenge as a result of this.”
Those who already own the original game can upgrade for $20 to the Director’s Cut of Ghost of Tsushima. Upgrades to the PS5 version of either the base game or the director’s cut are available for an additional $10.
