Marvel’s new What If…? series has officially dropped on Disney Plus and fans are excited to see the MCU’s first animated television show. The series will explore potential timelines in the Marvel Cinematic Unvierse that deviate from the original timeline. Characters such as Peggy Carter and Black Panther are back with Hayley Atwell reprising her role as Peggy and will also feature Chadwick Boseman’s last performance as T’Challa after his passing from cancer in August 2020.
Hayley Atwell’s Captain Carter is definitely the talk of the internet right now after shots from the show and her own poster was revealed by Marvel earlier this month. Cosplayers have already been making Captain Carter cosplays for years since the character was first given her “captain” status back in the Captain America: Peggy Carter comic in 2018.
Just two more days until the premiere of #whatif ❤️

One cosplayer by the name of Armored Heart Cosplay has already created a Captain Carter cosplay and it looks absolutely stunning. The armor pieces were crafted out of foam and worbla and created to replicate the Union Jack logo that is on the front of Peggy’s breastplate in the show. The cosplay was made in a little under a month, right around the time that What If…? was about to premiere.
The photos were taken by photographer Geek Strong, who managed to capture her in a location that looks fit for a 1940s battlefield. Her cosplay certainly made her look like she came out of the animated show and into a live-action series. (Which honestly we would love to have happen because Hayley Atwell is incredible as Peggy Carter.)
“The Name is Captain Carter!” 🇬🇧 Also I can’t believe how well this foam/worbla breastplate held up in the 95 degree heat! I was afraid it was gonna melt 😂
