Subaru is in nature extroverted and tomboyish. She is confident, hardworking, and always optimistic, even in situations that most people would be discouraged. It’s partly because her birth is probably the one that has experienced most trouble in her life as a child with a hole in her heart (Ventricular Septal Default i.e VSD, which means that the wall that separated the left and right of her heart did not close properly and created a hole) and threatened to kill her at age 14.
Because of her overwhelming life experience, she usually acts like a tsukkomi (straight man), showing that whatever other members say or do is ridiculous, and thereby turning it into a lot of jokes. But that doesn’t mean she’s unable to smile because she always finds a way to smile and joke.
She’s got the stupid habit of saying “shuba shuba shuba” to express excitement or satisfaction.
