The formation of Nijisanji EN’s second group, OBSYDIA, was announced on July 14, 2021. The debuts of OBSYDIA took place on July 18, 2021, with Selen being the first member of the group to make his or her debut. As previously announced, an original song by OBSYDIA, “Black Out,” would be released on the same day as their debuts, which would coincide with their debuts. TeddyLoid composed the music and wrote the lyrics for the song, and Ryushen created the story behind the songs lyrics.
