Monster Hunter Rise: Street Fighter in the spotlight with a playable character?

Game news Monster Hunter Rise: Street Fighter in the spotlight with a playable character?

This is the third Capcom collaboration to see the light of day in Monster Hunter Rise. After the arrival of Okami, it is a character of Street Fighter who is embedded in the hunting game with Akuma. And he doesn’t seem to be laughing.

It is in a video published today on its various Youtube channels that Capcom announced the news with a collaboration between Monster Hunter Rise and Street Fighter. On August 27, special Akuma armor will be offered as a reward for an event quest. In addition to the appearance resembling the character of Street Fighter, certain techniques of the fighter are faithfully transcribed in Monster Hunter Rise. To see Akuma’s famous abilities, however, it will be necessary to equip a sword and a shield: from then on, it will be possible to see the champion fighting with fists and feet.

This crossover is the third that Capcom achieves within Monster Hunter Rise. In mid-June, it is possible to pick up armor from Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. The second concerned Okami since it offered an armor for the Chumsky, the hunter’s traveling companion. Two other collaborations are planned by Capcom and are expected this fall.

As a reminder, Monster Hunter Rise has been available on Switch since March 26 on Switch. A PC version is expected for the first half of 2022.
