The English-Subtitled Video for Mieruko-chan Comedy Anime Unveils Cast, More Staff, Opening Song, and October Debut

On Friday, Kadokawa unveiled the first complete English-subtitled promotional video and second teaser visual (in visible and invisible forms) for Tomoki Izumi’s Mieruko-chan horror comedy manga television anime. The video unveils and previews the anime’s opening theme music, as well as the primary voice cast, additional crew members, and October debut date.

見える子ちゃん The manga is published in English by Yen Press, and the plot is described as follows:

Miko began seeing strange entities that others couldn’t see one day. Her reaction was not to flee, not to confront them, but to do everything she could to utterly ignore them! Can she keep a straight face and go about her business while surrounded by terrifying monsters?

Passione’s animation is directed by Yuki Ogawa (FLCL Progressive, Miru Tights, Interspecies Reviewers). Kenta Ihara (Saga of Tanya the Evil, Cautious Hero, Shachibato! President, It’s Time for Battle!) is in charge of supervising and authoring the scripts for the series. The characters are being designed by Chikashi Kadekaru (Juni Taisen: Zodiac War, For Whom the Alchemist Exists), who is also the primary animation director. The monsters are being designed by Makoto Uno (High School DxD Hero, Interspecies Reviewers).

Izumi debuted the manga on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker website in November 2018, and the manga’s fifth volume was released on March 22. On February 23, Yen Press released the manga’s second volume.
